I like the treatment for this one. Got the advert feel. Nice.

Been months since the birth of my daughter that I can sneak away to shoot. Decided to go back to a familiar place since I was on a short leash... cliched as it may be. It was fun! Hopefully this will be first of many more & not an anomaly ! Please do not be shy to tear me a new one if the pictures do not work for one reason or the other! cheers!

Hi, congrats to your new born daughter and of course you are busy...:) For #64, is a bit right heavy in the frame and a little too much distraction from the street lights. Maybe a different angle could be better to balance it out. #65 is a very nice and unusual tone to it. Cropping it not clean on the right frame and could crop a little more on the left. Overall, the focus is a little off and could sharpen a little more during process.
So now you can also start to post your daughter photo soon... :) All the best to you...:)

Thanks for dropping by Manita! For both shots I was probably guilty of being lazy compositionally as I was late & didn't want to miss the "blue hour" so to speak. For # 63 I was trying to use the reflections in the water as a "leading line" into the centre of the frame, but I do agree that its a tad heavy & the lamps on the bridge is distracting when placed so close to the buildings.

# 64 I was trying to be greedy & tried to include more than I should I guess. Thanks for the pointers. May put up some baby pictures soon... not up to scratch at the moment! :) cheers!

Congrats on your newborn! When was she born? My 2nd child was born in Sept last. I haven't had the time to shoot since!

congratulations to you too! mine was a halloween baby (31st Oct). I feel for you man... I basically told my wife I needed a break & ran off to chase the light for 2hrs! :bsmilie:

hope to see u back in action soon! meanwhile take more pictures of you loved ones... brownie points may count towards future exit permits! ;)

Great! We're about a month apart then. It's 3.20am now. As u can tell, I am still enjoying the midnight bouts. Teething now so he cries alot at night. Anyway, good to know ur wife is still supportive of your passion. Keep shooting bro, great pics! Actually since my firstborn, I have pretty much only shot landscapes and my kid.

Congratz to both of you . I can feel it ... Although my son is already comin to 3 , my restriction just didn't get loosen .
Only relieve is that my wife and son sometime will go to my in law place (malaysia) to stay for weeks , and that's the only chance I can do my own hobby. Ha . Hopefully when Jaden is older I can bring him out together to shoot then my curfew will be lift .

:)

I've been lucking out. She pretty much sleeps thru the nite beyond feeding time. Otherwise even if my wife would let me I wouldn't make it out the door for the sunrise! haha

Chanced upon this gorgeous sunset on the way home today. Luckily the sun waited for me as I rushed back for my camera! 3-handheld bracketed exposure HDR. Unfortunately the sun was still burnt out. Any pointers from the DRI/HDR gurus out there will be greatly appreciated!

cheers!

Cloudy sunset at the newly opened "river" @ Bishan Park. There's much potential in the location... will definitely revisit in the near future (i hope)!

Long exposure led to IR leakage (I think) which gave a purplish tinge that I wasn't in love with, plus the multiple light sources wrecked havoc with the WB. Hence, the B&W conversion.

Another shot inspired by great work by other members here. Not as easy to frame as I thought.... & the sun goes MIA. :bsmilie:
