What do people do when the battery's dead, send it to Apple for replacement? or Keep it in the dry cab ;p and get another one ;p

If the new M9 etc follows the older designs it means the original design was iconic and noteworthy ya?

Its like saying the Mercedes gull wing has an iconic design, or that say the IWC big pilot has an iconic look

For consumer electronics like mobile phones how many can hold that title *in it's field*? My guess is it's stuff like eg. original iPod, iPhone, coke bottle silhouette, original iMac, Harley designs, etc . And an iPhone isn't exactly cheap in it's field
Surely time will tell if something is a cult design
What's wrong with the comparison with a leica? I would have thought to think the other way is to be snobbish
