This portrait was taken by Albert Watson for Fortune magazine in 2009. IIRC.

Anyone who has not read Steve Job's famous commencement speech for Stanford in 2005 should do so.

ABC News, along with many other news agencies are reposting his speech, because he talked about death there. To me, I thought his speech was more about life, and it's really something worth reading.

I was never an Apple fan, but I think there's something in what Steve Jobs tried to do.

this video was posted in page one already.

quite inspiring for me.

side track about me (not related to Steve Jobs), I flunk my GCE N levels, did not complete my ITE education, but moved on to do part time Diploma in IT with Informatics and finally obtained my degree after 10 years of part time study. But still like Steve Jobs, I still haven find any passion (IT used to be my passon but this passion just died on me after working in the IT industry for 11 years) for something I really like only till recent 1-2 years (although my interest in photography started in 2002), I find myself loved photography very much. Hope I have the courage someday to do fulltime photography and start all over again like Steve Jobs did after being fired from Apple, start a new coy and later rejoined Apple. On second thoughts, if I did not pursue my degree studies, and just go straight to photography years back then, perhaps I will be happily doing photography fulltime.

Whether he is good or bad, wondering how do u guys know? Are u working under him or related somehow? Just because he turns things around in Apple? That is something I admire a lot.

To me he is just another superstar like MJ, I like MJ songs and MTV but I never approve his freaky lifestyle :)

I think you missed this part in the doc.
Due to the contradictory dates, possible evidence of forgery, strong motivations for fabrication, and few motivations for a legitimate revelation, the images should not be taken at face value.

N**** CEO got chance to apply to be Apple CEO. Then he can give strict ruling that from now on all new iPhones made will only have EDoF and cannot take photos closer than 60 cm away. Causing Apple's share to drop from US$378 to US$1.

Why need to censor?

My condolences to Mr Steve Jobs family.

RIP and iPhone 4Steve.

....when you have to go, you have to go.......job or no job ,,,,,

Please lah. Don't go around spamming your Nokia EDoF crap in every thread you see, can or not?

Steven Jobs' marketing genius is he knows what consumers want and he has increased Apple's market share in mobiles.

Great man. Great achievement. Apple and Pixar.

I think no one here is saying he's a saint, or that he's Mother Teresa.

But what we can see is what Apple has become. I'm not an Apple fan still, the only thing I've ever touched is an iPhone 4, but I can see a glimpse of his vision when I use that phone, even though I don't buy it all. And I absolutely loved his 2005 speech. A friend showed it to me a while back, and it's amazingly short, yet it says so much.

like apple products or not, his innovations has impacted your life in one way or another
