cos angel is pro at b/w!

and i'm not. i always shoot in colour for the pad project. the last post was also in colour actually.

it's only when i get to the 'darkroom' stage, i play around with the colour palette to see what works for me best. so i don't know what i'm doing most of the time!

angel is more towards b/w .. i'm more towards use-whatever-works, lack of strong direction n preference -_-"

lol, sure! i like the first one too ... it just has more 'feel' to it, that's why i submitted it.

actually, the lighting placement was an 'error' in itself too. the angle of reflection totally kills the color of the wood, making it almost 'desaturated'.

but somehow, the errors just work. i don't even have to do any 'post-pro' to achieve the look.
what i see is what i get!

the background was black in the first place, n i used a small aperture n fast shutter speed
to cut away ambient light. i had a strobe on it actually, but it didn't trigger, so the background remained dark.

the light that did trigger was a strobe fitted with a honeycomb grid. (mm..i would actually like to 'dodge'/feather the hotspot a little, it's abit too glaring.)

last time i used to think the apple is the worst pix you show to me.

not being sarcastic, i just say what i c mah. I got no idea why u do that kind of lighting for that cupboard. Lucky the lihgting save the mess by not following your plan =p

Anyway, a knife thru the apple and some chocolate syrup plus abit of softness would do VERY VERY NICELY...

Alright..I'm just being abit morbid here =/
