Stunning images.... love how u handle HDR.... never seen much HDR i love but yours are so awesome

Err, from the write up, I believe this wasn't HDR? The 3 image probably refers to the 3 frames needed to be stitched into a panoramic image?

last shot was CRAZY! man.. I will need to try a rendition of this

Thanks, great seeing you today at Pasir Ris BTW. :) We should meet out more often.

Yeah very refreshing after seeing 251893639 takes from the elevated view on the hdb flat.

How did you derive to that estranged number? LOL.

Yep, it's a 3 image pano to compensate spatial tightness. In fact non of my works are actually "HDR" in any technical means. I just realised this until now. :p Thanks BTW...

Love this perspective. I got to attempt this too. You're an inspiration to me always

Thanks, I admit I have to steal some of yours and some of others too. hahaha Thanks for dropping by.

Low tide season is here, so instead of Changi CP6, I've decided to head down to a very special place...

Broken Wings

2 Image HDR/DRI using Lee Big Stopper for smoothed water effects. Pasir Ris Park, Singapore.

It's low tide season and thank goodness I was off from work on a great Monday morning to witness the glow of my, yet-to-be-seen-in-a-long-time sunrise.

Thank you, macaroni. :)

The 7th Sense

2 Image HDR/DRI using GND 0.9 hard + Lee Big Stopper for smoothed water effects. Pasir Ris Park, Singapore.

An alternate view of the same subject. I feel this is far better.

The 7th sense - my personal idea of appreciating smooth tones and simple linework within the subject; still trying to understand it.

Nice one Stefan!

I actually prefer "broken wings" to "the 7th sense".... "broken wings" have a little more in it with the sun at the horizon as well as the nice gradient below the frame.
For the "7th sense", the centre metal rod is too strong for the whole smooth image or composition and that nearest diagonal rod on the right is also touching the horizon... Is just my view and opinion of the two image...... Anyway, nice work as always........... Have a good weekend....

Hey Manita, long time no see. How is school? :) Yes, the metal rod in front was meant to be the nearest supporting element coupled with the nearest V shaped rod in front. Also I personally feel it's not a necessity to have a clean image for a smooth composition and perhaps some mild element play would be nice, and thus I do not really consider it as a clean shot. If any, I actually disliked some of the further elements as they do not constitute as part of the overall composition of the shot. As for the rod that touches the horizon unfortunately, these rods are actually pretty tall - and when I got nearer to it the water I was on knee level. (This was a 0.1m tide BTW) :(

Providence

Single Image RAW, with GND 0.9 soft. Shot with the Sony Alpha A99. Pasir Ris Park, Singapore.

The stilts at this part of Pasir Ris Beach are virtually rare to find in Singapore and I wish it remains like this for years to come. I personally do not like that small rod in front of me, as I find it a distraction - I wanted to go nearer to avoid that but there were fellow shooters beside me as well. Gotta play nice and not block their POV.

I was tasked to take photos with the A99 - I must say, the image quality and dynamic range is superb. I keep telling myself not to get comfy with this; it isn't mine.

UPDATE: Fixed near hidden dust spots at corners.

Highway Star

Single Image RAW, 2 image panorama to relief left side spatial tightness. ECP, Singapore.

First ever attempt using a fisheye lens with the Sony A99. Still trying to get the hang of composing images using fisheye. I admit it can be a little addictive using this.

I loved the superb dynamic range and quality output by the Sony A99. In fact, I didn't do any much editing to it other than joining the two images and tweaking contrast. The starburst effects given off by the street lights were something I cannot achieve with my 7D+10-22 combo no matter which aperture I used.

In case you didn't know, Highway Star is an awesome song by Deep Purple. \m/

UPDATE: Sharpened image by 20% and increased corner brightness.

Supertree Groove

2 Image HDR/DRI + 2 x f5.6 Image exposure stacking of lightshow + 4 x f8 Image Vertorama to relief top spatial tightness with custom temperature adjustment for skies. Gardens By The Bay, Singapore.

Took a break from shooting to pursue my other hobby of interest (Building desktops & Modding Android smartphones!!) and now back to processing some stuff I've taken the last few weeks during my absence.

Believe it or not, this is my second time visiting this place, as I wanted to make use of the full mileage of the awesome fisheye lens for the Sony A99 before returning it - and it's uber awesome. I admittedly not knowing what I could do with the fisheye, or what compositions I could come up with, as I honestly can't trust my confidence using a fisheye, as I'm pretty used to shooting normal wide angle.

Anyway I scouted around, see if there was something that I could play around with my fisheye, and I found shooting with the lightshow of the Marina Bay Sands would be a great addition to the Supertrees, and this perspective does it. Enjoy!

UPDATE: Fixed left side distortion + 3 mismatched vertorama joints.

UPDATE II: Further fixed minor vertorama joints + decreased overall height to 93% to correct visual proportion.

Almost

3 Image HDR/DRI, 2 image vertorama using GND 0.9 Soft. Bishan, Singapore.

Simple one from Bishan, whereby this time the sun rises between the two towers. I wanted to get the sun to appear in the perfect centre of the two towers but unfortunately, it rained the next few days and was unable to get the same effect I wanted. So, this by far being the best take.

Took this quite sometime in March but never got around to post process it. Will upload more older taken stuff, so stay tuned.

Lovely stuff as always. Will be staying tuned. :)

Thanks man macaroni!! I love all your new uploads as well. :) Campin' for more.

Rise of The Sembawang Colony

2 Image HDR/DRI, 3 image panorama using GND 0.9 soft to relief spatial tightness. Sembawang, Singapore.

Same shot as I did the last time - but this time with the sun rising at the left. http://www.flickr.com/photos/_stefano_/8457564344/

Shot this with the A99 coupled with the 16-35mm lens that was lent to me. The starburst effects are awesome, which is something I can't achieve with my 7D + 10-22mm combo. The dynamic range was insanely awesome that I didn't do much post-processing to the shot.

PS, this is also my third attempt shooting the sunrise from here. And I find this is the best take thus far. The previous' weren't what I expected because of the weather and the bad lighting wasn't what I desired.

UPDATE: (1)Fixed colour cast at left side.

UPDATE II: (1)Corrected slightly slanted verticals, (2)straightened right side window and beam and (3)sharpened slightly soft corners.

I tried various angles from the bridge, and this is one of them (as you can see from the liveview) but they were all just weren't what I liked.
