Electric Avenue

3 Image HDR/DRI 4 Image Panorama to relief right side spatial tightness (However, see below) using ND 0.9x2 to achieve 6 stops for smoothed traffic effects. South Bridge Road, Singapore.

Another street view attempt from walking down South Bridge Road and experimenting some views.

Honestly as I'm the guy the shooting this, I consider it mediocre. Original plans called for more Pano shots on the right side to show more of the old shop houses, but that didn't pan out well and the skies were darkening quickly. Now what's worst is, there's a garbage truck parked nearby while the shutter was open if you look carefully on the extreme right.

This is as far as I could get. Better luck next time. The sky had an amazing hue of pink though.

Dandelion

4 Image HDR/DRI using Lee Big Stopper + ND 0.9 for smoothed cloud effects. Farrer Road, Singapore.

It's a tree in the center, that somewhat resembles a dandelion. An interesting HDB estate accompanied by bad weather for experimenting some long exposure and blurred motion effects. Shot with shooting buddy, Irene. Many thanks for introducing me to Farrer Road.

Blue as The Ocean

4 Image HDR/DRI using GND 0.9 soft + Lee Big Stopper for smoothed cloud and water effects. Punggol Beach, Singapore.

I was surprised the beach clean as a whistle, blue as the water and sky. I think NEA has finally did a decent job for once cleaning up the once polluted shore of Punggol Beach. Wondered if they ever literally used a toothbrush to scrub those rocks.

Sunset was dismal though, but the sky turned out to be really blue. Hopefully the coming days gets better.

When I looked closely at the clouds I thought there were layer blending problems whilst in Photoshop. Turns out, the original RAW has that "ghosting" effect too. Could've used much longer exposure to further compensate this, but 320 seconds is already crazy enough my 7D to handle especially noise.

Ponder

3 Image HDR/DRI using GND 0.6 Hard + GND 0.9 soft for higher tonality of the skies + ND 0.9x2 to achieve 6 stops for smoothed water effects. Punggol Beach, Singapore.

Sometimes it's nice to look up to the skies, to ponder and contemplate about the things you desire most. In comics, when someone is thinking, the speech bubble goes: ". . ." So, likewise for the rocks........... :bsmilie:

Glow Rock (Day's End)

3 Image HDR/DRI using GND 0.9 soft. Punggol Beach, Singapore.

Could've used an ND filter to further smooth out the water but I think this works alright, and time was tight on my hands at the time of capture. Late sunset/blue hour shots seem to cast silhouettes on rocks creating strong contrasts, giving a nice "edge highlight" to them. Might wanna try more of this in future! :)

First time shooting Punggol Beach late after sunset. Good thing I've got a torch with me or I'll be blind as a bat to navigate my way out.

I love this!
Gives a calm and tranquil feel to it.
Thanks for sharing. :)

WOW...your shots are an inspiration to me. And I really loved  your HDBscapes. VERY well done:thumbsup:

HDRI is something that I've never tried before seriously. I've only used it a couple of times by just using the photomerge, but couldn't really get the feel and control I want. But I think it's time to re-experiment with HDRI again by using exposure blending.

And, keep the great shots coming!

Thanks man, these kinda took a while to look around and see what nice views I could get from up there. Sometimes it's a hit and miss.

Anyway there's no trick for HDR/DRI; you just have to play around and experiment with the gradient and masking tools with all the different exposures as layers in Photoshop and see what you get. ;)

Platform

5 Image HDR/DRI using GND 0.9 soft + Lee Big Stopper for smoothed water and sky effects. Bedok Reservoir, Singapore.

It's been a long while since I've been to Bedok Reservoir for a sunrise. Too bad it drizzled soon after this was taken. Will head back there again one of these coming days.

Technically I didn't liked how the shot turns out to be - The screws on the floor aren't aligned parallel to the edges of the frame and thus this leads to the wooden platform not horizontally straight. Those minor details really bug me. It's not good enough, will have to try again.

Love yr latest Punggol series . Keep them coming bro

Dark Colony

3 Image HDR/DRI 4 image vertotama using ND 0.9 for smoothed cloud effects. Farrer Road Estates, Singapore.

The sky was abysmal when shot. So I had to smoothed them out or they'll be distracting above. One of the last shots from this amazing place. Will come back again for better POVs and angles. Shot with shooting buddy, Irene.

This is probably the last I'll shoot long exposures late night with my 7D. The noise is really unacceptable even at base ISO 100.

Fire Tree

4 Image HDR/DRI using GND 0.9 Soft. Sembawang Stateland, Singapore.

Was there late, didn't have time to find a different composition and the light was freaking amazing like fire in the sky in the midst of a cloudy morning... And so I just head to the same tree with the same ol' POV I shot sometime back before the magic disappears. The mist was amazing that morning too; I predict thicker, longer lasting mists in October monsoon periods in Singapore.

I walked around the area scouting for supposedly new compositions I would like to experiment, but the light wasn't good after that sunrise has scattered into the clouds. Will try again.... In October.

Chose an underexposed -2 EV as base layer image in Photoshop to work on. Thought probably some slight underexposure could "cheat" and exaggerate the burning light a little bit more.

Happy Bunch

4 Image HDR/DRI using GND 0.9 Soft. Sembawang Stateland, Singapore.

The final shot before the "fire sky" disappears and the environment becomes moody and dark again from the obscured sun. As you can see the "fire" is slowly dying and becoming less intense.

The Boardwalk

5 Image HDR/DRI using GND 0.9 soft + ND 0.9x2 to achieve 6 stops for smoothed cloud and water effects. Changi Beach, Singapore.

Thought of visiting this enchanting area when the tide hits a low of 1.0m. The rocks revealed at this tide are a nice addition though.

Thought I didn't like this shot, but I thought giving it a try.

Nice one, Stefan. I prefer this pic over #78, perhaps its just me but I find the fallen leaves and the debris around the tree a lil distracting ;p

Thanks man, yes I have my same sentiments too! What I hate is the powerstation at the left corner of the picture. :(
