They had to use pioneer saws to cut the flesh of dead horses...

thought these remarks are quite common in the ''Portraits and Poses'' by some DEAD person guy ; which i totally disagree...

Really arrogant.....

i particularly like a post where wolfgang wrote this below.

"Now, as my circle of friends grew, more opportunities came my way and I have recieved so much from all the kindness that was shown to me and this is what CS is to me. For better or worse, bickering and all, I am ever so grateful for CS for being such a lovely place and the springboard where i got so much of advice and opportunities from. It is one of the reasons why I continue to believe and try.

This is why after all these while, with everything that has happen, I still believe that courtesy, tactfulness and advice can change minds and photographs.

I hope CS can continue to be such a place where young photographers or newbies are given a chance to shoot, share and perhaps become a better person/photographer as time goes by."

This is the syndrome when people, once newbies, now get ahead of themselves and start to deride other new forays into the same area.

All of us have to start some where. Even if we do not have the ability to mentally compose pictures and translate them into great photographers, there should not be any reason we are not allowed to try.

Of course if the pictures turn out bad, there are ways to be able to convey it tactfully & honestly at the same time.

Agreed ! :)

Why so harsh on newbies who just want to share the coverage of the event.

Taking superstar at events are the hardest. Not as if it's a fashion show where the

lightnings are provided for photographers.

OT OT: :bsmilie:

When i saw this was last posted by WG, tot u came in to bends and locks.. Recent days this

seemed to be ur trademark

Yeap I share your sentiment - which is why I fail to understand why these "experts" take particular pleasure from newbie bashing.

Even if one does not wish to help newbies, he just but has to remain silent instead of active bashing. Perhaps they derive a particular sense of power when they consider themselves experts and in a position to bash a newbie.

I always wonder whether they are under the misconception that they were born an expert at Day 0; and if not, whether they wished their own bashing to be visited on themselves when they were too a newbie.

Hi vince, you may be wrong, they are not exactly experts either. ;)

mountain trolls or forest trolls ?

dp dun fight with a kid la....

standing up against this kind of remarks is good but i dun think it is good to lay an counter-attack linking to someone else's link for his photos. likewise, calling people a kid is baseless (glen, i know you r kidding, but those who read wouldn't think the same). maybe we just stop here as long as this serves an example to make more people think before they criticise. of cos there are those who never learnt but i'm sure most will.
