"Promotional rates apply for the first 24 months;standard prices prevail on the expiry of the promotional rates." + hell loads of freebies.

Argh, great competitive pricing from SingNet!

Erm, Pacific Internet went a little too quiet nowadays eh?

yeah just renewed a year contract with SingNet for the $38 package ;)

is it actually worth it to get tied down for 2 years with a 512 connection? it's actually two years man. gees. unless you're just a light casual surfer. i'm more of a semi-pro gamer so i'm just afraid. anyone using 3.5 from singnet?

I've been renewing with Singnet by signing 12-month contracts only, each time going for the cheapest 12-month contract. This tactic lets me enjoy doubling in speed every year while paying same or reduced fee. However, this may not work for you depending on your usage pattern.

In need of a wireless modem, I signed a 3 months contract with Singnet on 10mbps @ $88 few months back and now the contract has expired but the current offer ($500 Best Denki Vouchers + ADSL2 integrated wireless modem) doesn't convenince me to re-contract for another 2 years since I already got the modem from the last contract.

I called up Singnet to check whether they can provide a one year (12 month) contract (maintain 10 mbps but at lower subscription) but to no avail.:(

Anybody knows what brand/model of the ADSL2 + Integrated Wirelees Modem they are giving away and how much it actually worth(Singnet says it worth $400)? Thought of selling it away if I were to accept their offer.

haha...it should b the 2wire 2700HG...which i can tell u it sux...dun think those who noe their stuff will get it...as it will act smart to drop the connection n resync dsl signal when crc hit a certain no.

I had no prob with Singnet connection so far (using 1500). But anyway, i tend to agree with dreamerz that the 2wire 2700HG sux big time. I had alot of error on it. But currently Im using the normal Aztech ADSL modem, serve me no prob at all.

So far so good for what Singnet serve me too. Time to get 1500 then 512, better in alot of sense. ;)

The 2700HG cannot use WPA.... frequent connection lost. Even tech support has admitted it. Have to use WEP on my network now

haha...2700 nt that sensitive to adsl so using 2700 wif adsl is quite alrite...most connection drop on 2700 will happen to adsl2+ user as their line stats need to b more stringent to get the speed...therefore cause more crc error...

haha..yup cannot use wap...i still waiting for the new firmware fm them...malifix say already give the new firmware to singnet liao...now singnet should b testing it...n think they will push the firmware though the configuration server....pray hard...n its said/rumour that this firmware will oso remove the act smart drop sync bug....pray hard...

Ah, just realised that SingNet demands a 24 month contract.

Alright, I just fall back to the realm of StarHub. Hahahahaha.

Yes indeed the 2wire wireless modem is a piece of junk. Had a hard time configuring the 2nd pc.

I signed the 1 year contract without freebies, cos I have the Aztech ADSL modem.

Hi,

Better wait for a few days for the IT Show ... normally the registration fees will be waived and gifts thrown in as well.

However, I think may not be quite advisable to sign up for 24 months plan since WiMax plans by the various ISP are around the corner.

One of the reason why PacNet is quiet may be their preparing for the launch of WiMax.

Cheers.

Erm perhaps I interpret your words wrongly, are you saying that StarHub is a hell of slow stucks?

Haha, I have been using SCV for so long, have not try other broadband, so I can't judge on that. I will say SCV served me well, I got what I needed most of the time.

:)

Slow in loading of web pages? Ah, hardly encounter that, I mean, compare to dial-ups and secondary school internet connection, and a friend who is using Pacific broadband.
