just a little something to share with what i did today with the fellow strobist over here.

i bought a set of the ebay triggers. they work perfectly indoors, no misfires so far. however, they fail to work outdoors, fires on its own continously until the flash runs out of juice.

anyone encountered something similar?

probably it picked up a handphone signal.

It happened to me too... so I brought 2 pocketwizards the very next day.

unfortunately, for what i do, i cannot justify the price difference.

anyway to get around this problem? cos it does seem not everyone has this problem all the time with ebay triggers.

mine never fails to fire on its own. it can't be picking up handphone signals all the time? and does it signify it doesn't pick up handphone signals indoors? just wondering.

tried that, didn't work. i tried using single channel, both channels, switched on & off. nothing worked.

I have the trigger from Tago tech. Works very well indoors just not outdoor. Lucky there's a good deal for a pair of used PW in B&S so I just brought it.

Yep, but that was with my 430EX. When I got my 580EXII, I've been using PC-Sync and it hasn't trigger itself once.
