Hello Mario,
To avoid the posterization issue, first you need to achieve sufficient and correct exposure during the LE.
If not, then by correcting the exposure in ACR/PS and boosting the contrast will normally introduce posterization or banding issue.
It is not that obvious in Color but in B&W, it is easily seen.
Thus, for my case, I had do many layering with Dodging the midtones, shadows and highlights with completing it with reducing the contrast while playing with levelling to get the right contrast on the kerb.
All this has been reviewed many times by zooming in and out the image to ensure no such problem arise.
A very tedious work but worth to salvage and all this may result in losing some of the originality.
Hope it helps.
Cheers,
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
U r the best !! Thanks alot for the advice.
I will definitely be more careful with the exposure while doing the LE, to avoid this issue

Yes, I can imagine how tedious it's to fix thru dodging hehehe
Cheers !!
