I don't find anything wrong with Kit's comments, studies show people buy things base on emotion, after making the purchase than they try to rationalise it.

if you think too much you won't buy it at all, why waste your time and other people time as well?
so if you don't have the urge to buy it, than just move on.

To me the price of Mk3 is very reasonable, considering the inclusion of an evf and bright lens. There's very little not to like about this cam.

Like or not like, no $, how to buy? haha!

On top of that, enough cameras, can forget about it too. I got A850 and will keep it till breaks down or replacement. My RX100 MK1 still usable, why change due to specs different but same sensor? I got A7R due to I like to try the MP, NFC, Wifi etc which lack in my A850. I also own the PJ660, which hardly use, but I still keep it just in case I need it.

Every one have different views on all camera, just believe on what you think you are correct and get it, provided you got the extra cash. Just like not every one loves durian but you can try, no harm, right? :D

Hi all, can the macro mode be activated manually?
And what's the minimal macro focusing distance?
I can't find it in the manual.
Thnx

In that same tune, I was also voicing out my opinion.....

Totally agree as I am myself guilty of such. Although I do try my best to spend some time to do some research first before spending my hard earned cash. Perhaps I had interpreted kit's post wrongly as saying that those want to buy just buy, those dont want to buy just move on, i.e. no need to debate (here) so much.

Is it fine to charge the battery via your computer or any adaptor that has USB output?

If you did not purchase additional charger, USB is the only way you can charge the battery.

I am guilty of that too... wanted to buy a compact camera for work and vacation purposes... first I wanted to go for Canon G1XmkII... then somehow got pulled into (or tempted) by the RX100mkII... and almost wanted to commit myself when rumors of LX8 pulled me back... then do lots of researches, played abit with the RX100mkII and decided to quit... then tried the Samsung NX mini... don't like it. Now I am back to square one... with 1k in my pocket and no camera to show off.

Will different USB chargers (or power source) affect the battery much? This could range from iphone power adaptor, traveller charger, laptop, monitor, powerbank, etc.

Wow....that sounds very familiar - although I think you have it worse than me - I would never consider Samsung nx mini lol. Quite happy with my X-M1 which I acquired recently, now just waiting for the new XF 16-55 f2.8 to come out....I haven't waded into Panasonic's waters yet! Touch wood!!

What do you guys use as grips? Sony's AGR2, Gariz, or others?

I use AGR2, it improves gripping very much & it's not expensive. Love it. :)

My camera was bundled with a travel charger so I have never charged the batteries via USB.

I use the Richard Franiecs grip. Metal. Feels great. Individually 3D CNC machined from a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminium before being glass-bead blasted, black-anodized and nickel-sealed for durability and good looks. Looks even better and looks like part of the camera not like a add on. Color matches perfectly. In my opinion much nicer than Sony's. Also when you order online its shipped to you like normal post and goes to your post box, so don't have to worry about being around to accept deliveries (like DHL, Fedex etc).
