Sony RX100 Mark III

For screen protector, I'm using the Larmor 0.5m Japanese Optical Glass LCD screen protector. There is a version for RX100 and fits perfectly.

I like the Gariz one because I can still change the battery and card without taking the case off but its a little pricey compared to the Sony one since that comes with case for the entire camera and strap.

You're wrong, for RX100 their half case don't have such easy access for battery. Pls click the link I provided and see for yourself.

There are two 2 series which will be available latest by coming Mon.

HG-RX100M3BK - $129.00
HG-RX100M3BR - $129.00
XS-CHRX100M3BK - $99.00
XS-CHRX100M3BR - $99.00

Oops... Must have clicked on the wrong camera. In that case, I have no reason to buy the Gariz over the Sony.

how is the output of this RX100 m3 compare to OMD EM5 with 25mm panaleica...

It's a completely different setup, and not comparable side by side. The Olympus sebsor and a prime lens easily beats the rx100

Been looking at the M3 lately... which local shops has good price for it ?

Can M3 post directly to Facebook/Instagram via wifi?

And, is the XAVC S video quality any better than HD (720p)? Been browsing through some samples in youtube but I couldn't see the difference. Read it needs Sony's Play memories to play back on a PC? How bout on a Mac?

Some of you may know this already, but for those who don't and are looking for a good uv filter, i suggest that they also look at the ACMAXX one as another alternative. http://www.acmaxx.net/product/lens_armor/sony_rx100_m3.html Used this on my previous Mk1 and was very happy with it, and have bought it again to install on my Mk3. Cost about sgd44.00 including shipping from eBay, not too expensive considering the quality. It's made of good hard glass and scratch-proof as well, and does not add any extra bulk to the cam at all. It's almost invisible to see, unless tilted at an angle with some reflection. Very nice. Comes in a nice hard plastic case and very clear instructions on how to install and remove. It is not permanent. They also have their own brand of hard glass screen protectors. Haven't tried it yet but should be of the same good quality as the uv filters.

Wow! Nice to know. Thanks!

DOne.

I went ahead and got the m3.
Things I like, its compactness, its EVF, its wide angle.
Things that can be improved, its low-light capabilities.
I'm not sure if a dslr or maybe some settings make the images appear sharper though.

Here's an image and video I took at MBS.
Can't post link yet, so...

Not bad for a compact cam? Have to compare with others though to verify this.
