Well, the Sony Store in Sim Lim said that if I bought the camera I would have to bring it to the repair depot at Wisma if there was a problem, even the next day. I was very specific in asking about this.

Does Sony Singapore operate that store or is it one of those franchise stores here? Anyway, I'm sure if you would escalete it in the unlikely event you need it they will exchange it (after a few phone calls).

But doing it in front of her makes you feel guilty, makes her feel bad and she will just end up complaining about what you did to her friends...

Are boxes for new RX1s supposed to be sealed (i.e., have a Sony sticker-seal on them)? I've gone to two stores so far, and their RX1s were both in unsealed boxes and they insisted that's how they are shipped. But on sites such as DPReview, people talk about (and show images of) boxes with a Sony seal on them. When I asked the question on DPReview, people from the US and Europe said indeed that the boxes are sealed and cautioned me about buying an RX1 in an unsealed box. So what's the story here in Singapore?

For the last 2 years or so there's no more sticker seal.

I'm lucky enough to have a girlfriend that's pretty enough to be a model, smart & strong enough to be studio assistant when I need a hand and she loves to go out and take her own photos as well.

Am I lucky or what? ;-)

If you are using with the original lens hood like mine, I have kept the original lens cap at home as very easy to drop when you try to take out or put back to the lens. Just get a cheap pinch type no brand 49mm plastic lens cap from peninsula plaza will do. Fit nicely. And since the lens cap is placed quite inside the hood when capped, no point having the original metal lens cap with the Sony logo. Can't see anyway.

Hi, thanks for the advice! I haven't got a lens hood yet so only uv filter is used...that's why i usually keep my cap in the bag and let the uv filter suffer from the dust.. Haha

Gariz black label half case edition provide lens cap strap to your camera side ring... Try to look for something similar cos the black label edition difficult to find even from ebay
