Agree. Its nice to have a user sharing his early adopter experience, so I appreciate zixaw's posts and user feedback.

Please continue to share especially the pics! RX1 kinda reminds me of the old Nikon 35Ti : ) Goes to show how far technology has come!

Nobody comes here to read critical comments about Sony products. This forum is a peaceful place of fun and joy so please post only positive comments.

LOL

Girls, boys, children of all ages, please behave. If you bought the rx1, please share pictures and your positive and negative thoughts. To those of us who cannot afford an rx1, suck thumb and don't be a sourpuss

:o

i'm a Nazi.

before you make that statement, perhaps you should even know me and look at some of my other posts before determining that i'm not objective in my postings.

obviously no camera is perfect. and it's very obvious you bought the camera without knowing what it can do, or what you expected, according to your later posts. hence, i still stick by my statement of "you have no idea what you've bought".

At least I am contributing to this thread by sharing as I learn about the RX1 and its accessories. What have you done other than pick a fight and waste forum space? What a joke.

I dont need to know every thing about a camera I buy, its not a car or a house. Half the fun is reading the manual and learning about and how to use it.

Did you know the thumb grip blocks the play button? Did you know it swivels out? Did you know because it is not one solid piece it has some vertical play when gripped? If you use the grip you may want to reconsider buying the full case. Cheap strap that cuts into your neck? OVF? EVF? These are things you won't find in reviews, not now at least.

And a stronger back, neck and shoulders please.

That's one of the things that makes the RX1 so special, size.

Do you think Sony will go the way of the Sigma DP1 and 2 Merrill? Releasing similar compacts but with different lenses? Or will they release lens converters like Fuji?

I think Sony will introduce a new mount with shorter flange distance in 2013/14. :)

One thing I really like about the RX1, even though I won't be buying it because of the price, is that it will wake up all the other manufacturers, and hopefully they will come up with something similar that is more affordable soon. For the time being, I'll stick with my RX100 and pretend it's an RX1, minus the two zeros.

I doubt any other maker would offer it for less.

Wait for 3 years then maybe Canon will release one re-using the 5DMkIII sensor on a "L" lens that will need 5-10 seconds to focus in bright daylight. Or they will toss AF out the door and say "look! We're like Leica! Manual Focus only! A true rangefinder experience!"

:-) But it wouldn't be cheaper. Look at the EOS M; Sony and Fuji offer more for that money.

very nice collection bro. please share your experiences with the RX1 as you get to use it more.
