i assume u tested at varies distance, because of my distance at af will appear no focus done. there is indicator at bottom left acreen green dot = focus in place

by the way, i can get focus in DMF mode (mutli point or single point), only AF mode has problem.

I tired different distance, DMF works fine, but AF does not. When i use AF mode it always show the camer shake warning sign. It keeps trying to find the right focus but never give me the infocus sound.

Hmmm, im a bit surprised with the shutter sound of my NEX-5... the sound emitted whenever i take a shot makes it sound like its taking two shots... even when im using A mode with HDR/DRO turned off... strange... is that normal??

Can u shoot sweep panorama if it allows u to set shutter speed of 1 sec or aperture of f20 in dim light?

You can only do exposure compensation right ? Dont think you can change the settings as its an automated mode.

The focusing mechanism on the 16mm lens (I haven't got the 1855 yet) is simply amazing. It's freaking quiet and by that virtue, auto-focus will be audibly undetectable during video sequences. Pure bliss. USM is something you pay premium for in the canon lens lineup... And here it is, in the kit lens.

Group photos more like it. It's a tad too wide for portraits. No headshots for sure. Distortion is gonna be a slight issue too.

Hi guys, just want to check with u, i have a nex-5, but for 2 conecutives night when i have fully charged the battery @100%, i place the batt into the nex-5. But surprisingly, the next day when i switch on the nex-5, its dead. I'm pretty sure the nex-5 is off. Anyone facing the same problem?

Hmm you might want to bring back the set . Or u can try to take out the batt and leave it over night , next day see if the problem persist.

I do not have this problem , i only notice the power goes down real fast when i connect it to the pc for photos transfer.

Just to check with the current NEX5 owners, when you got your set, does the box comes sealed with Sony Tape on the front lid?
