Yah the battery life is very close to dismay . Turning it on for 10 mins to load pictures already 3% gone . Dunno whats the issue that making it suck too much power , i suspect its the AF . Hope this gets resolved with firmware updates

See if you can switch from Continuous AF to Single AF; this will save battery.

Heh but compared to the battery life of the Alpha350 and Canon G10 , Its really short .

Perhaps all the power goes to the screen , would need to know alot of power saving tips

The other power guzzler is the zoom.

Zoom dun seem to be the case for me , as I m on the 16mm . Heh , oh well , i m used to great devices with low batt life , like my 3G iphone lol

my observation: 1st charge full and when on happy snapping lasted me about 3 hrs with very little shots taken because was fiddling with the options as well

2nd charge virgin trip out for shooting from 5 plus till 7 plus with normal shooting rate and adjusting settings, still got 54% when i got home.

Note: The battery cycle may as what the earlier post say needs a few cycle, the same goes for my cyber shots cam.

just to give a better scenario total about plus minus 70+ shots plus adjusting, the screen i already switch down to low, and whenever i am done i off it (this part is lame lah)

Nope no other freebies , think other bros mentioned some of them received additional cards at Paragon and other retail shops also pack in a bag plus card . For Sony and the official promoters , dont have other freebies

CP offer with 8GB SD, camera bag and S$300 voucher. Just walk across to the store in Marina Square. SonyStyle all store offers with S$300 vouchers. Doubt any Sonystyle outlet will offer the MS card as this will reduce their profit by S$49.
