Not sure when Apps will be available but what I did is to register the account as Australian! Anyway, based on the 3 free apps now, I must say that the novelty died off rather quickly primarily because the interface is terrible esp for those requiring wifi connection. Thank goodness the apps was not the reason why I got the camera; if not, I will be utterly disappointed.

Just got my NEX6! For those interested to get the NEX 6 - Single Lens you get 1 x Sony LCS-EMC Case (Brown), Double Lens you get 1 x small Herringbone case (Dark Green).

Both sets come with a 16GB SDHC (94MB/s) card. Seems the bags are gifts from Sony...

Curious, anyone have the slightest idea when PlayMemories Camera Apps will be available for Singapore? Thanks in advance!

I'm having trouble using the smart remote control app. I just can't seem to connect my phone to the camera. Anyone tried and worked fine? I was wondering if it's because my phone is now Jellybean and the android app don't fully support it yet...

the 3rd party wireless remote is only like $6-7 bucks.. and its so small n compact compared to the clumsy smartphone, just my 0.02 cents.

You mean $0.02? Haha. Anyway, its not so much the actual app and its function that I have an issue with, its the overall hardware and/or software compatibility issue that I'm worried about. On the whole, if such issues can be solved with time (as it's still in infant stage), then all is well. If not, then we r nt really getting the best buck with our dollars...

They launched the PlayMemories service already in March. Not sure they are even planning to bring the service to smaller countries.

Just realized that the V2 firmware downloadable from the Sony support site is only for the non-LE lens, although the support site says it is also for the LE... Sigh... Really disappointed.
