I was at Cathay Marina and ask for the price for the Sony equivalent of the 5600HS. SGD560. Not too bad maybe I'll get it next year.

I went to lucky plaza today looking for Sony 5600HS equivalent. Ishida intially one to sell me at SGD600 plus. I than said CP and John 3:16 offer at SGD560 and SGD540 respectively. Than he changed his tune and said SGD500 cash. Item will come in next wek. The shop is named Isida. Anyone shopped there before?

It doesn't matter whether export/grey set or not, as $ony don't provide warranty for Flash (as it is considered as an accessory) .

Yeah confirm this with Sony. Its strange that something this expensive has no warranty. What is even more strange is that there seems to be warranty on this product oversea like in the USA. Check B&H there is a warranty on this product.

Just to add on...
My 5600 flash was over heated after some continous flash on a fashion cat walk shooting.
Took it to Sony last month. The board in the camera was malfunctioned and luckily, got it repaired under warranty.

I checked with Sony Malaysia technician on the warranty.
He told me that the warranty card will have some asterick "*" only they cover warranty. "*" can be found on the location of service centers. Hope this info helps.

anyhow.., I just got a deal of a used 5600HSD for about S$440.
the seller said it;s still in a good condition, hopefully it'll last long..

Since Sony doesn't offer warranty how is Metz flash. Seriously considering getting one. But how is it compared to the Minolta flash.
