been searching on the web.. but there's no review for the 58am? when Nikon released the SB900, they had given some photogs/writer/reviewer a tasted, and then in turn they gave their insights on the flash. have anot?

1. Cooler temperature; more digital-friendly I'd say.
2. Stronger. Sheesh this thing can light up a room!!!
3. more accurate exposure metering than the 56AM.

How's the metering accuracy like?

Two tricky exposure situations:

1) When you take a wide angle shot with 17mm lens and have the a very big group fill the entire frame (like across a Chinese dinner table) with the flash very near the subjects, bounced? My 56 always calculate wrongly and blow the shot, sometimes all white...

2) Another tricky situation is having a very bright, harsh sunlit, background, plus subjects in the shade... using the flash simply blows the scene to bits with the 56... never been able to solve that... only way was to shoot without flash and tweak in PS...

sony really knows how to earn money!
FF flash come out first before FF DSLR.
this surely makes more people buy the flash first.(since we had waited so long)
then comes the camera body. if the so call A900 come out first, i don't think
there will be so much people buying the flash compare to now. agree?:sweat:
