Cathay and MSC are having pre-orders. Call them to book.

saw a lot of people using a77 at f1. think they are from hk and china. i think sony also got a group of photographers to try the a77 at f1.

Maybe they were ur favourite 10-1000/f2.

The best was shooting with the A77 and A580 at the Linkin Park concert. No AF issues, sharp sharp pics...

Anyway, F1 will be over this week, so i am not in hurry and 2-3weeks more of waiting is not a life and death issue since we already waited for 4 yrs right? :)

It doesn't bother me much waiting for it to arrive here and owning it. But it does irks me a bit Sony Singapore isn't "in-sync" with the rest of the world.

Imagine the staffs at Sonystyle don't even know about the existence of a A77.

Actually its not a bad thing to have it later. The folks over at hk, taiwan, korea and uk are facing some firmware issues where the camera hangs or acts very strangely. Hopefully its rectified when shipped to sgp.

i doubt they will know the DSLR products. There are probably the average electronics sales person or just plain store assistants. But the main stores like Sony Gallery in Orchard and Paragon seems to know the Alpha line products better, but that was my experience with the staffs a year and half ago..

Lucky Guy :-)

Was looking at the dpreview studio sample shots of A77 its not that good in terms of noise control :-( was really eyeing this cam

My take is: I wouldn't be very worried about the noise control. As long it is better than the A700s then all is good. That's just me, of course.

What I'm worried about are the issues posted across the web. Hope this gets fixed pronto. This is a huge slap to Sony.

I'm still sticking to my mastaplan. Hold off the purchase until March. Who knows what other uglies come out. :)

Yes. I rather its a bit noisier (iso) than no noise at all (not working)!!! :)

planning to get mine maybe Dec let see how it goes 1st... looking at the noise control versus A580 and NEX 5N really pain in the heart seeing A77 loses out to much lower models.. So it's really a balance of Megepixel versus Noise Control is the game... now I fully understand why some brands reluctant to move forward on the megapixel war... anyways hope they'll be able to fixe it soon else I might end up buying A580 or Nex5N lolz

High ISO is one indicator of sensor performance. But the resolution and dynamic range on the A77 edges out the lower end models. So theres a trade off. But from the experience of using A850, I will take the IQ of A850 anytime over high iso.

Of course.

But we should very soon see Nikon announcing their D300s replacement who will use this new 24mp sensor and in past history, Nikon always have an edge in noise control even with the same sensor....
