Sony DSLT-A77 and 16-50 f/2.8 SSM hands-on review

Thanks I found it!

Hi Rashkae,

How is the high ISO compared with the A580? (the 800 and 1600 range) thanks!

Hmmm I can compare later on.

the mirror doesn't move in Sony A77,
how come it has shutter sound,

any a33, a55 user can explain.

Rashkae Bro..

Thank you for the great preview and review. :D

2k USD with kit, with current USD so low, will we be paying $2.5k SGD or lower? Let's see how long the video last. If only 30 mins, maybe I giving it a pass, haha! Wonders the grip will be out together with the camera or not.

can this camera be used on studio using 3rd party trigger and receiver?

All manufacturers have to limit it to 29:59. If it's anything longer than that in a single clip, then under EU regulations it's not a still camera anymore but has to be labeled as a video camera.

Yes, just like all other Sony DSLR/DSLT and Minolta SLR/DSLR cameras - we've been using them in studios for years. Unlike the A33/35/55 though, you can disable the auto-adjust in the A77 EVF, allowing for an "OVF-like" experience that is good for studios.

Yes very true. Even hollywood movies are not recorded in a single clip of more than 10mins. You still need editing if you intend to be a videographer.

If just day to day life videos, imho any clip more than 2 mins normally will bored the audience.

I'd say expect an MO from MS Color or HK soon!

you guys can always PM Rashkae to know more about the updates >.<

So A77 is slightly bigger than A55. But smaller than A850/900?
I like my DSLR size to be like A900..bigger better.. If small i rather get Nex system..

Oh, it's way bigger than the A55. It's almost A900 size.

i mostly go for a77 with grip n extra batt. My 16-35 would be nice on it. Heh heh!

I also need to find a good video cam replacement. Cause current still on tapes n produce sd video. Since i always follow tour grp, need to get a long video recording when on bus.

But mostly will get a77 cause of the features that not found on a850. Heh heh!

If you look at my first pic here:

You'll see it's just shorter than the A900, but a bit taller and bulkier than the A580. And the A580 is a lot bigger than the SLTs.

Yea i saw this pic on the review forum.. I dont exactly know the size of an A580..since i havnt seen 1 before. But from pic it looks bigger than A55 though. Thats why i ask to confrim isit bigger than A55 but smaller than A900. Thanks for the input. A77 should make a nice Crop camera. : )

Any news on when can we get the pioneer batch ?
