Should be. The yare using the same mount and I think Sony wants the old Minolta users also.

Sony has been know to throw curve balls just to throw people off. Just like they did with that "boomerang" PS3 controller. That pic is probably not real. It looks too much like the D5D, and if that's the case, then it's not worth the switch at all. I can't remember where I read, but I think Sony said their next DSLR release would/could be a mid-range or semi-pro model.

They will retain the A-mount. But I also hope they will retain the flash-mount. I would say KM's flash systems are superior to Sony's flash systems.

Don't quote me, though. Every bit of info seems to be at best, speculation.

Sounds logical to me. They wont wan to lose all the KM fans. Making them jump ship to Canon/Nikon is not a good idea.

I suppose KM wont be doing something that cruel to their ex cust as well....

if using carl zeiss lens I will consider buying but if it is KM :nono: for me

if u talk about optics, it's as good for the G and some non G Minolta lens.... if u're talking about build, then there's still a gap apart from C & N.... just my 2 cents opinion....
anyway, the minolta 135 stf rocks in terms of optics and bokeh though it's a manual lens....:)

Dude, just bcos I don't have a white lens to show doesn't mean Minolta's albino babies aren't as good as N or C ok? :bsmilie:

I don't mind seeing sony a bit more active in that region. I hope they will deliver a nice dslr, I read in a dutch magazine they will be targetting the entry-level dslr's, which is a good start for sony in this market.

For the consumer it's always good to see more activity, forces the companies to do more for the consumers...

will the sony DSLR be ready next year? wonder how will it look like. any idea?
