If you buy it there it will have Japanese menus only. Therefore, if you can read Japanese you could use Google to find an outlet in Nagoya.
Sony's China website has quoted only RMB4099 for this model, you shld just go to the Sony store to check out the prices.

you can check out bic camera stores...its like our funan type of electronics store....huge n have pple serving tourists..can speak mandarin if i'm not wrong. ask for intl warranty. english user guide can be dl from sony singapore.

Should have been RMB 3,999 and RMB3,700 respectively.
Equivalent of SGD740 is quite a drop compared to $999 list in Singapore.

My folks just came and they bought a English set from Bic Camera. They were attended by a Taiwanese staff and were initially they quoted 65,000¥ but told to come back after 5pm for a special price which they did. They went back and it was 59,000¥ which is about 780SGD which i thought was quite decent; went ahead and got the set. Thanks all for the advices, looking forward to have fun with it!!

Went back and the price dropped to 59,100¥ ~ 780SGD which I thought was decent though no extra goodies were thrown in.
does it come with international warranty?

It does if they bought the Japanese overseas model. If they bought the Japan-only model it doesn't.
