personally i prefer only the bottom piece..

considering this leatherette also..
between this and the Richard Franiec grip..

Got this and fixed the bottom piece only. Bear in mind that that cutting on the right will not fit the Carl Zeiss sticker pefectly. Mine is more to the right.

I actually tried to order Richard's grip 2 week's back, but was told by him that there's no stock and need to wait at least 3 weeks. The leather sticker works quite well, at least not so slippery now.

(POV) This camera is not for main usage unless you really dont own a DSLR. For me to buy this camera, is to replace my old IXUS 860. On top of that, RX100 got some manual control which I need some times. If you really need a PnS, this is not the camera for you to spend $ on. So, think about it before buying.

There are a few new units in BnS. 1 going for $920 (If not wrong, another going for $900). If you dont mind to buy from other, can consider.

Was reading some reviews at some website and found this quite a good reading.

Think it is a lot better than most PNS, but the noise level is quite high. Wonder how is this compared to a 5N?

That's really a good review with the strengths and weakness of this RX100.

Now I understand why there are many people selling their brand new set in the BNS. I guess the expectation of the rx100 becomes too high after reading all the wonderful reviews, forgetting that the sensor size is still smaller than a aps-c camera.

Guess it is really not fair to compare it with Nex 5n for low light shots, since the Nex 7 is also not as good as 5n for noise control under low light.

I guess most NEX owners expectations r pointing towards the up coming FF NEX body... Patiently waiting....

Much nicer and all along I have been using aki asahi on my Pens.. so I trust their stuff more..

If only they have a cut out for the Zeiss sticker..

IMO the grip is ugly..
But ergonomically it should improve the handling of the rx100..

Agree..

But for a compact it has a very good noise control..
And with the bounce-able flash.. it is very useful for indoor shots..

With a bigger sensor I am sure the 5N has better noise control..

But the selling point of this camera I think is the IQ for it's miniature size.. I can just slip it into the pocket.. something I can't do even with my 5N and 16mm lens..
