Just bought my limited copy of the DSC-RX100 (it ran out when the first batch was available in Singapore last week till some limited stock started appearing today)...

In the few hours I played with it, I must admit I am totally impressed with the IQ of the stills and videos!

The sharpness is incredible! I dare say it is as good as the NEX series of mirrorless cameras and many shots taken could easily passed off as those taken with my Canon DSLR camera with good lenses! Besides great sharpness, color and contrast, one most significant wow factor is the auto focus speed - it is lightning fast!

This camera is marvellous for even a regular DSLR user. I didn't quite believe the tonnes of good reviews online but when I actually shot those photos today with it, I'm floored. I hate it because now I seriously have to consider if I ever really needed my DSLR for my next overseas holiday trip!

Got my rx100 today and I must AF is fast and IQ solid. Very clear resolution. Took a few shots and I am verynhappy with the results.

Go to HN and bargain. You can get 2x 16GB cards, the leather case and the camera for under 1100.

HN. Dont trust them that much. I brought the 3rd party batt for my ixus 860 as she claims got 6 mths warranty. But the batt couldnt be charge full n always low batt. Too late for me to find out as warranty expire already.

HN. Dont trust them that much. I brought the 3rd party batt for my ixus 860 as she claims got 6 mths warranty. But the batt couldnt be charge full n always low batt. Too late for me to find out as warranty expire already.

Yup. She claimed original canon dont have warranty n more expensive. Initally, i thought i been using the batt often but it's wasnt the case. Charge it often also useless. Like that got conned n so, no more 3rd party for me even cheap n with warranty.

3rd party batteries are always crap. Of course 1st party batteries have a warranty.

It has 2 points. The package comes with a pair of strap rings to attach normal shoulder/sling straps.

I am seriously thinking of leaving my DSLR behind for my next holiday trip since this gives me teh same satisfaction over my DSLR minus the bulk and weight!

Surprisingly good. Sony did a good job with their ClearView digital zoom

Because I still love my Canon (minus the bulk and weight), even though I was very excited to share the amazing new technology of Sony.

The sensor is APSC on DSLR, it is still better for real pixel peeper.
