When I am on 40D / 5D + 17-55 f2.8 IS USM / 24-105 f4 IS USM L / 50mm f1.8 / 70-200 f4 L , I did not have the color and sharpness as compared to my current rig. Although the bokeh of the 50mm f1.8 on 5D is something that I miss, but not the color n sharpness of that setup.

Are you pertaining to the compatibility issue of Sigma with A33/A55?

if you buying bnew Sigma lenses shouldn't have the compatibility issue with A33/A55 jsut look at the box logo with DSLT compatible. Buying 2nd hand older lenses there may be some issue...

Yes, the notice said that all sigma lens are affected, but i heard reports that some of the lens are working fine on the SLT. Thinking of buying a second hand lens from a friend thats why ask this question.

try to search in the forum seen last time DSLT users with Sigma lenses has listed those that seem to be ok...

Best is to try our the lens when buying 2nd hand and maybe ask for some personal warranty the problem may not show up immediately. If the lens you will be buying still has warranty then good can bring to Sigma for parts replacement.
