Well.... if all you're doing is trying to show the henna design, you already did well. What else are you trying to achieve?

I was trying to highlight the hand more and have more Bokeh.
Specially don't like the big shadow behind.
As there was not much space availble so could not have tried too much distance between hand and the wall.
Any other suggestions when background is so close to subject.

Close your aperture for a higher shutter speed to darken out the BG (assuming you're firing a flash).

for the big shadow behind you could try boucing your flash to the ceiling so the light could also hit your subject from behind or have another flash behind your subject. I am also noob in flash lolz

My 1st casual prenup shoot

A55+Tokina 11-16 (initially I thought it would be ugly using UWA but seems to be ok)

Lens used was Minolta 50mm f1.4

Looks like no one using A33 and A55 anymore? just some few folks left? I find A55 is very good smallish SLT out there :-) (well that could just be me hehe)

Here's some pix taken using MF legacy lens

All photos taken using Helios 44M (1st version) 58mm f/2 all shots are wide open

at a right condition you can achieve this lens is known for the swirly bokeh (I find this very busy bokeh and dizzying)

LOL, :bsmilie: depends on where you're coming from ...from A77, the A55 is small, for me coming from 5N, the A55 is BIG !!!!

Nice ! ...I see you're playing with the Helios MF now, nice and affordable to collect ! ...lets see ...there is also the 44m2 and the most numerous 44m4 with both MC and non MC lens, the 44m5 and 44m6 is quite rare but the sharpest of them all is the 44m7.

There is also a very unique 44m3, you got to be careful buying one as some of them have got the overlapping flange which will prevent adopting them to your adaptors.

Welcome to the fascinating world of FSU lens and gears. ;)

If you don't mind 135mm FL, try and get hold of a Tair-11 (135f2.8) this lens is a keeper !

you're such a good friend bro always trying to poison your bros :-) lolz, I have Leica-R 135 f2.8 Elmarit so far love this lens... sadly I cant mount it to Sony Amount with just simple adaptor will need to either get NEX or do the mount replacement operation to this Leica which I am reluctant to do :-(. This is where Canon wins over Nikon and Sony it can mount Leica-R lenses with just simple adaptor :-(

I hear ya, bro. I'm eager to see how DXOmark rates the 6D sensor, as it might be a good option for using R-mount wides and normals. Although I previously had a positive experience with a Leitax Zeiss mount conversion, I ain't about to go f**k with my R-mount APO glass.

Looks like NEX is gonna be the best alternative for the foreseeable future. Not only can it work with any glass for which there's a mount adapter, it can also exploit the sharpness of a lens to the max if one has a modicum of patience with focusing. And for us shooters whose understanding extends beyond the shutter button, the tri-navi system kicks the a$$ of some of the bigger bodies.

Hi bros :-) I know you all been bitten by Leica just like me, I have three now (all the cheapest Leica's out there) and I cant bear to perform the mount replacement operation on these glass I don't want to waste it. So now I guess NEX 7 is the best next thing for these glasses.... I think using m4/3 I am not really maximizing the these lenses... not that m4/3 is bad just the sensor crop ratio is just too big and most of my lenses are mid tele, such as 50mm 90mm and 135 :-(

NEX is a good system to use all these Leica glasses u haf. Most Leica glasses can fully resolve NEX's sensor and give very good IQ & sharpness. R glasses r actually as good as M's but resale value of M glasses is higher with better holding power. But keep your R glasses as when the new M body launches with the R to M adapter, u will see your R glasses prices appreciate. Cheers.
