Sony A7 with M mount lens

What will you be shooting most of the time?

i am coming from D800 + sigma 35 1.4 + 16-35..

now having A7 35f2.8, I love the bokeh of 1.4 that why add Nikon 50f1.2 but still prefer the 35 focal range...

for the wide side probably wait for fe 16-35f4 or cv 12f5.6 .

if i buy 21 f1.8 can probably cover the wide side but not sure how good is the lens bokeh...

bros... really nice shots you guys had here...
i wanna get mf lens to try... which are the lens recommended for starters?...
i tried my friend's new vl 35 1.2 ii and found it really challenging to shoot with it *using focus peaking*...
any tips for newbies like me using mf lenses?...

really poisoned by your pics... the looks and feel of the lenses...

Cv35/1.2 won't disappoint you bro it's a great lens if you don't mine bigger and slightly heavier cron-r 35 is nice also. For wide lenses for now there's no better alternative to Sony 16-35/2.8ZA in the FE mount or legacy lenses.

Try getting cheap Russian lenses 1st like Jupiter 8 50/2 Helios 58/2 and others I think f2.0 is a good practice ground for shooting MF I started also using these lenses and slowly migrate to much faster lenses. Also pentax 50/1.8, Minolta rokkor 58/1.4 canon ltm 50/1.4 are awesome lenses.

Find a lens with good Focusing throw some lens are like macro which is precise but the focusing throw is very long meaning you need to rotate the focusing ring more just to get your focus.

Basically just go head down the BnS section and hunt for some cheap MF lenses there I saw many lately or you can join some poisoning session the bros sometimes setup here hehe

Enjoy

There a huge selection of m mount lenses. LTMs from canon n nikon. Ms from CV, Zeiss n Leica. Even Russian lenses. BBBMTL.

my humber collection cannot fight with the brothers at here..

seems like i need to avoid any meet up sessions.... my tolerance level towards the BBB virus is very low...

dun worry. manual lens are cheaper than slow Sony 2.8 and 1.8 lens. with the focus peaking and focus assist its much more easy to focus.

before i am not big fan of manual focus lens. after own the Nikon 50.12 i am more and more love manual lens...
