Hey there, you'll be amazed to know these were taken with fe2870 kit lens. Photos are all ooc unedited.

m not amazed... knew it is a capable zoom... so much cheaper than the FE 24-70/4
 

It's not exceptional but for what it does i do give it credit for being one of the better kit lenses around. A temporary solution until until a decent 24-105 or the 16-35 comes along.

no doubt it's the best bang.for your buck zoom ever...but you can actually tell its weaknesses. .especially on the a7r. I do see a few things the 2470 beats it in but I also don't think it's worth the extra dough.

Actually, other than the horrible distortion, the resolution and image quality and sharpness of the 2470 is comparable to the Canon 2470F2.8II. The microcontrast is there. the sharpness is also comparable. Even dxo tests confirms this..it's not better but it does keep up pretty well with the canon version.
