Took the A7r and FE55 with the bicycle today again to iLight.
I must say when it comes to low light and action..the a7r is totally horrible at focusing..80% of the time it doesn't focus or gets it wrong. Continuous Focus totally doesn't even work. These are times I'd wish the AF was alot better and maybe even MF is better.

Here's a few photos i managed to focus on shot wide open because it was so dark and ISO was at 2500...mostly all were OOF.

And here's one shot at f2 earlier in the day

Oh. I've no issue wif A7 and FE55 in low light. Of coz slower abit but focus does locked on after which.

Best just MF wif a fast glass in darker places.

I gurss the a7 pdaf worked.. mf is.easier in such cases but I don't9nt have any mf glass and when I mf on the 55 it zooms in..gotta find out how to turn that off...the performers moved alot so zooming in to focus is.impossible

2nd tab - 1st page - MF Assist. for me, i turn off the MF assist and set Focus Magnifier on the AF/MF Button.

yep..I saw that setting..never really knew what it was until now since I never thought I needed to use mf on an af lens..now I know I do..hehe..the focus of the a7r in low light isnt bad..it does work..only if the subject isnt moving though
