This one of A-mount lens I wanted Sony to re-create for FE... if wait long long I might get this plus LA-EA4

yeah. this lens is the main reason I kept my A850. now with A7, it has seen a lot more light ;)

rumour is there will be a FE version, just that don't know how long will it take...

cheers!

I have the FL version of this lens but due to inchy hands I spoilt it...

What a pity.. it renders well especially for portrait shots. You can easily get a copy from e-bay.

minolta 200 2.8

very nice. lovely colours. this combo is quite lethal. by the time your subject notice you... its too late. most of the time, they don't even know there were photographed.

Swee...

I also have the same picture but not as nice compare to yours.

^ very nicely done. These Sony A7/R are really not helping me trying to shoot lean. Just so many favour to try out with so many lens choices

It is your own mental discipline.

I forced myself to shoot using only a MF lens once for a relative Wedding (Not as a photographer)..... and a 50mm, ie. not my comfort zone....

Just bring one lens out, and you will be lean.

I'm weak...I easily succumbed to temptations ;p We only live once...why limit your choice and forced yourself to do certain things when it can be more fun looking the other way

It is a form of training discipline.

Learning to focus. Learning how to maximize the potential of the lens.

You need to know what you want to achieve.

It is no point having so many lens, when you could not capture the best images with it.

And at anytime, your camera can only mount 1 lens, and which is the one you chose?

In the past, without AF, some of the pictures taken remain classic till today... with a 50mm...

I learn a lot about MF lens, and the unique point of the MF and going through all this, I hope, make me a better photographer... and would not be possible to learn all this if I did not force myself to use the MF lens.......

No doubt life is short and we only live once, and we do not get everything.... so I try to live it without regret with my decisions...

Guess this is a common spot :bsmilie:

Good for you...you seems to have your life and priorities properly figured out then. :light:

Most dslr uwas will not have color shift isdues with the a7/r

Yupz. Proven. But corner sharpness is lacking as compared to modern UWA lenses. Tatz y I'm sticking to my sigma 19.

The Sigma 50 has more diffused OoF on the A7 than on Canon FF.
