Shot with the CV Nokton 50mm f1.5 ASPH II (M mount) adapted with a Voigtlander M-NEX adapter

Nice series, I have almost the same perspective as your esplanade but using the A77 before :-)

I like how Notkon 50 f1.5 renders the cute dog :-)

Nice shots!

Thanks! I sold my Nikon body about 2 years ago but somehow did not get around to selling the 24mm. I love it that it's been given a new lease of life on the A7 :)

This lens is the only thing which saves my A7R from being sold.

ah.... the 35mm and 55mm primes not to your liking so far? or is it due to the lack of native UWA lenses that doesn't fit into your shooting requirements.

Its the latter. I didn't like the idea of adapting my Nikkors and Zeiss wides onto the A7R.

More from FE 55/1.8... such a fine lens...

Hi buddy, I think you kenna 55FE poison deep deep man.... time to sell away your Rokkor liao! Your 55FE can replace most (if not all) you get from the Rokkor...

BTW, can't see eye lashes in your photo leh....

Too bad the thread you started on UWA options for the A7/r was closed.

Have you explored those 20-35mm, 17-35mm zoom options that were available on various brands (both OEM and 3rd party)?

Hmmmm nope. No SLR lenses on the A7R. Defeats the purpose of getting a compact body.

Yeah, agree on the size thing, I'm sticking to SLR primes over zooms as a stand in solution, though 20mm is probably the widest before it starts to get big and heavy.

Voigtlander 12/5.6?
Seems pretty decent and certainly wide and small.
Corner more of a color cast problem than a image smear problem and AFAIK correctable with the corner fix app for the A7/r.
There is also the Adobe LR Flat Field Plug-in.

I've not tried either.
Just want to be lazy and not have to do all this for a $1K lens if possible. :D

Its an unknown right now how a native UWA will be like.

Hi

A few more pics…..

Supertrees at Sunset

Taken with the Nikon 24mm f2.8 - was playing around with the Creative styles (sunset mode) - apparently it seems to be carried over into the RAW files (I shoot only raw) - Lightroom 5.3 has some of the in-camera profiles (e.g. clear, natural, vivid etc)

Couple with phone

Shot with the el cheap SAL 85mm f2.8 SAM "easy choice" lens as defined by Sony - I quite like the look produced, even if it is not the sharpest lens around. Because I have to use it with the LA-EA4, the focus, though noisy, is pretty fast. And phase detect focus means the camera does not try to re-focus every time you press the AF button if the distance is the same. I should try more SAL lenses with the A7!

28-70 FE Kit lens - yes i know, the title is a funny translation :P

Three Heads

Sony 28-70 FE kit lens - I love using it on the 28mm (in my opinion, where it is best)

Only WATE can satisfy u bro. BBB.

Quite frankly, I'm sitting on the fence for the WATE as I have not tested one before for edge colour shifts, etc.

I'm already having colour shift problems with the Biogon 21mm. Can't fix it with flat field correction or cornerfix. Even Sony's own lens correction app is not perfect I read. So can't imagine I can use the 12mm on the A7R.

I've tested. Perfect on d A7/Rs. Totally no issue n super sharp across d frame. BBB.

I'll get it if its good, Zeiss or Sony is secondary. Zeiss wide angles are not perfect either but they do get the job done for me.

Guess yr bad experience from zeiss UWA stemmed from d rf biogons. Sad some review d zeiss 15/2.8 is also working perfectly on d A7/Rs.
