It is heavy and unbalanced. But it surprisingly auto focuses faster than the 24mm 1.4L and is tack sharp...
Once upon a time in a cosy French Roasted Chicken restaurant... "Poulet" in the eyes of FE 55/1.8
We're there yesterday bro with family... My kids didn't like much the taste they still prefer Singaporean food lolz specially the ChopStick at raffles place. Food there are nice ordered the chicken salad thought it has more green but it has more chicken instead.
Still trying out the Contax N 17-35 with the A7. Find it very hard to focus when it is too bright, too much street/artificial lights using both EVF and LCD. And noise at low light is quite evident at iso 1600 onwards.
Maybe should just get the FE zoom and automates everything.

Well, it's not mine (just borrowed it for about 2 hours) but I like the weighty feel of it compared to the kit lens, which I also have. Image quality is good (but then I didn't really test f4 - shot mostly at f11), just a little tiny bit softer in the corners (however most lenses are to be honest). Build quality feels excellent - only thing I don't like is the extending front portion whenever you zoom in. I think for the expected $1500++, it's a pretty good deal for an all around zoom lens.
