Lucky for you it was an outdoor event...

I have the bad experience of experiencing shooting event (indoor) and have flash failure before.... lucky I have a backup one....

The flash that have problem, I brought to shop and have it exchanged...

yeah I was actually worried during the event but I also have back my brother hehehe it was two of us covering the event. But when the sundown there we need t use the flash and I have two or three times I need to turn off my flash as it over heat... normally what I do us remove the battery and replace with new one and keep it off for maybe 2-3 mins then use it again. but 2-3 mins if you're alone and no back up back cam you're screwed even it it was my relative and it was free lolz still that's a once in a lifetime event you miss the moment it's gone.

After the shoot I don't want to do wedding shoot again hehe... it was my 1st and last wedding shoot

I know what you mean... when over heating, the flash must shut down to recover faster.... and alternatively, having 2 flashes... and rotate...

Events photographer have to be alert and be ready to go and shoot.. that is why having fast AF is a big factor in it... for every moment and happening... a retake is so unnatural... I remember a church wedding, the photographer ask the groom and bride to retake and do it slowly...

I have done weddings for friends... Chinese, Malay, and Indians... so I am ok.... for fun, and not as a full time... cos it is simply too tiring...

It can be stressful too.. no doubt...

That's why I only shoot for fun, or/ and in projects I like and interested in only... nothing else....

I like the "the world revolves around the subject" effect this lens gives.
Probably its easier on FF than on cropped sensors.

Probably its easier on FF than on cropped sensors.

I think it's on the technique bro my kung-fu is not yet there so even I have lenses that is known to produce swirly bokeh like the Leica LTM 50 f1.5 and Helios 44 I have yet to produced such bokeh hehe
