this is what i found out - phase detect doesn't work with this combo. and i think it wont work with a-mount lenses & laea4. i believe AF is done by the laea4 and not the body, hence, no phase detect by A7 main sesnor. i also tested my SEL16F28 on the A7, same thing, the phase detect setting is turned off. only when i mounted the 28-70 kit lens, then it showed up.

Thanks for the confirmation bro. Think only native fe lenses can have this setting turn to on. Come to think of it, the laea4 is using phase detect so at least not too bad

the sony guys are quite friendly, and will take out whatever lenses you want to try.

i played with the 50, 85 and 135 CZ lenses haha

Maybe I should bring my A7 and go WIsma to try out the lens
