CV 50 1.1 Leica R 135 2.8
the bokeh on the 1.1 does look unnerving.
ha first time i hear someone use unnerving to describe bokeh. was a nice lens to hold in the hand. sold for another 50mm lens hehe
haha... yeah, it looks rather busy and distracting.
I was actually thinking of getting this, the build quality is really good, but the bokeh leaves much to be desired.
Which 50mm did you end up with? A Summilux or haha a Noctilux?
the bokeh does depend on what background you have behind the subject. this was at a food centre and in the day hehe... not exactly the best place to test bokeh. i got the voigtlander nokton aspherical 50mm F1.5 in limited edition chrome. beautiful lens haha

Bro, is your 135 R the Series VII or the E55? Pics look nice, although most every manufacturer's 135 looks good.
The CV shots are best I've seen out of that lens if those were wide open…
That last pic, though . . . if looks could kill…![]()
on the leica R, to be honest i have no idea what version it was, and no idea there are different versions. I didn't like the lens though because of the long focus throw, not very manual focus friendly plus heavy hehe. Like the short focus throw on the CV lenses, and even my canon 135 F2L has a nice short focus throw. the CV shots are wide open, some even cropped 10-20%. The CV 50 1.1 is actually a sharp lens if you can get the focus point exactly on your desired subject. CA is it's weakness though, and my hit rates are low with the lens due to the extremely thin DOF. just some reasons y i chose the 50 1.5 hehe... easier to work with and the aspherical element makes the lens sharpness exceptional
Basically. It is just GAS at work rite? Haha
Where is this place?
Posted some of these phts from the OOC jpgs in B&W previously.
Here's some of the coloured ones. Mainly shot with the CV 28/2.
