there wasn't much color cast to begin with for the 12mm with A7. A7r is another matter. with the A7s even better results with the 12mm

hehe cuz SEL 10-18, @ 12mm after correcting for distortion is more like 14mm.

the voigtlander 12mm has good distortion control, lines are all straight. Doesn't color cast too bad, negligble with the A7, and is super sharp and very nice size.

This lens wins in edge sharpness over the SEL 10-18 for full-frame, being designed for full-frame. SEL 10-18 is siill an APSC lens, a wonderful APS-C lens, but has it's drawbacks when used on FF.

icic... thanks for the brief comparison.... thinking of jumping over to the S ship... not much UWA lenses to choose from... roadmap stating 16-35 will be out... but think the size of the lens gonna be BIG and of cos px sky high (Zeiss)....

my friend (cacti bin) did have the same combi (almost) as u.... A7R + VL12mm... the build is just salivating....
