For the snipers do you fire the shots in continuous burst or single? Just curious
Anyone care to share? Thanks.

I have never used a7 in burst mode because it is slow and af tracking not that good. Plus I am not shooting sports with the a7, no need for burst mode.
Perhaps the question should be what do you wanna to capture with the a7 that requires burst mode?
Priority is to shoot kids, especially my active son, and secondary would be street/candid shots. I like the detail that A7/R produce but AF is quite disappointing.
I have tried using burst mode on the A7... Out of 5 shots only 1 probably can make it... I dun think this cam is suitable for fast AF tracking in continuous shooting mode. Maybe my skill is too lousy to make it work. LOL

Just got it. AF ok for me. 24-70 f4 fe with it. Tonight can play with it.

A7S may have less color casting/smearing issues due to the bigger pixels/microlenses. wait for the reviews to be out before deciding!
A7R definitelly will have more casting and smearing vs the A7.

Your skills are there, but AF is probably pushing the limits for this camera. Even the sales person don't recommend A7/R for fast moving objects.
First few shots using the A7 with SEL1018 (non-crop mode) @ 12-13mm FL I am going to sell my Sigma 12-24mm liao... http://s12.photobucket.com/user/icarus79/media/DSC07384.jpg.html http://s12.photobucket.com/user/icarus79/media/DSC07379.jpg.html http://s12.photobucket.com/user/icarus79/media/DSC07370.jpg.html

ha... thought you decided on the a6000 already.
honestly if you shoot in burst mode for kids and street/candids, you will end up with many repeat shots of the same scene you have to delete off. just stick to single shot mode.
Yep, decided on A6000 now but sometimes felt a bit itchy and tend to spend longer with A7/R in the showroom :embrass:
Now, my next decision is to stick to my CZ 24F1.8 or get a new lens. Quite keen on getting CZ 55F1.8 as secondary but I already have the 50F1.8
Excellent images here. Good job. I played with A7 and A7r at 313 yesterday. Kinda like it. The focus was snappy with FE lens. Not was bad as I had thought. I have 1 question: It seems I can move focus point to edge of frame if FE lens is mounted. But with non-FE lens and adapter, the focus points are only at center of frame. Is this a limitation of the adapter or is there a setting for this?
