Beautiful color combination. In camouflage green the lens would be even nicer.

Hi Silvermoon, tried IE but still can't. Changed to US region (for camera) and also cannot. haha... I was taught to go to Amazon to get a Sony gift card with purchase amount but that requires a US address before purchase. Hmmm...

Urrgh! Still can't. Reboot camera, changed a few PC (even w windows 7), it still says 'credit card info is not valid. Please check your entries carefully.'

Haha. Help!

My camera region is set to sg. You will notice that western aus is also in the same time zone. . When u select the application list on camera then log in, select oceania region (aus). Works for me this way.. reason why I did it this way was because some app where release in aus region n not sg. . Hope this helps..

Yes. It is just a long exposure app.
As an alternative to using ND filter.

Huh? ND filter? But its just dropping the iso, increasing the aperture and just longer shutter speed by the app isn't it. What's the difference just doing it yourself in manual mode?

Found this online...

"By employing Smooth Reflection, you don't have to know what settings to use in order to get a smooth flow of water in your photos, as the application will do all that by itself, without you having to worry about your shutter speed. The app comes with 6 different themes designed for various scenarios."

It does sounds dumb to me. Lol!

Thanks everyone for the help! Yes, i re-registered a new user acct under USA. Managed to use a purchased amazon card to download.

Sorry and thanks for the help!

Read somewhere that it takes multiple exposures to make the smoothness for reflection.. Therefore u can expose for the bright sky while achieving smooth reflection without nd. Still doesn't replace nd as u will still need nd when balancing composition of those non-water shots.

Yes. Curious to how this app work compared to ND. Does it apply to architectural shots w moving clouds? Or Sony is gg to make us pay for another app? Haha

On a bright day, at ISO50, f/16, 1/50 sec won't be enough for water blur.
Even if it's less bright, 1/10 sec wouldn't be slow enough for the effect.

This takes multiple exposures, so you can get the blur effect of even slower shutter speeds.
It won't replace graduated ND filters, but saves me owning and carrying different ND filters.

Yeah, ok it sounds really dumb. Why do I have to pay for a app to do it when I can quickly change the settings in manual mode, rather than fiddle with my menu, go to applications, launch the app, and select one of those themes.

I thought it can further lower the iso, our something like that.

I don't understand. The app does not "add" in ND filters, nor does it drop beyond ISO50. It is just playing with the settings, you can also change it yourself in manual mode. Please advise me if it is indeed otherwise.

Because it doesn't sound logical to me.

You said multiple exposures. What do you mean? You mean the app is merging a few frames to achieve the long exposure effect?

Does that mean it needs to be tripod mounted? To make sure things that aren't moving stays in focus? Can't be handheld? Otherwise you will have overlaps at the edges?

Sony's explanation of the app is so simplistic.

•Mount the camera on a tripod or similar device to shoot images under unstable conditions.
use a tripod unless u have steady hand.
