Sorry bro, i didn't have a previous mirror less to do a comparison. It might be the R difference? Sometimes it has some issues with face recognition even in good light.

I can't say for sure unless I put it on a side by side comparison with a same setup. I'm doing mighty fine with manual focus on static subjects. The zeiss lens is giving me good sharp images that I love.
Right now I think it might just because of getting use to settings and trial of different modes to get the best out of the camera. As they always say, it's not the gun, it's the shooter.

Wanted to get A7 + FE35mm today, but everywhere no stock for the FE 35mm... Thinking if should just get with the kit lens.

yeah when I gotten mine at MSColor they only have 2 A7 left body only and 1 A7r... no FE35 also...

Bro... dun compromise by getting the kit lens... FE35 should be available soon... check with the usual shops like MS Color and Cathay, just dun go to Sony stores... they wun get the stock first... :bsmilie:
