Just got hold of a used VC 21mm f4 so sharing some pics taken with it using my A7s. No magenta cast but corners are very soft so not suited for scenery shots. I bought this as a portable solution for travel so kinda disappointed.



Flare control is quite good IMO. I like the 10 point starburst

no vignetting ? did u crop manually ?
remove the barrel and shot jpeg at 1.3 crop ? could share your setting for this ?

There's 2 way, either manually crop or digital zoom at about 1.25-1.3x. Below picture taken I think at 1.25x, if 1.3x vignetting should be almost gone. Yes back cover need to remove.

Edit: Here's how it looks on my A7S. Been using this instead of the VC12 as my day-to-day wide prime recently.
