after the noct vs mitakon shots are out all keep quiet ah...

need more testing in day light with varying backgrounds for a better test, but from yesterday's limited hands on session, Noctilux wins on sharpness wide open for sure.

Mitakon can close focus up to 50cm vs Noctilux at 1m (noct needs the helicoid adaptors for close focusing)

Bokeh actually quite similar between the 2, maybe because everything is blurred out at closer distances at F0.95. need more testing with further subjects and different backgrounds hehe

All the pictures from high value pro lens. My cheap nikkor 50 1.2 have to stand one side

wow so much glow coming from NOCT ASPH? is that just glow or CA/PF?

Too close when focusing. Think slight mis focus. Haha

To me I just notice a mojor difference is on the color rendering Matikon on the redish side while Leica like what I noticed from my glass are more on neutral to slightly cooler side. Bokeh wise its subjective hehe I see matikon tend to have some swirl at a right condition. at MFD both have good bokeh at head shoulder shots (example was Bro Thoth's) I find Noct bokeh renders slightly better than matikon

My copy is 55mm I think the 58mm thread size is the Cosina (rebrand) mine is the color reflex MC auto

If it is 55mm, then properly you get a very good copy. Porst lenses are actually all rebranded from other vendors.

Thanks bro was checking the net but so far majority of the Porst MC 55/1.2 review say the same thing all soft and dreamy feel. My copy is not that good at MFD or near MFD its too soft and very low contrast but at portrait distance like waist-head its pretty good I like the skin tone rendering from this lens.

2nd pix you visited the famous antique shop they have a show in History Channel called "The Pickers" I always watch that show . Who was manning the shop during your visit?

I really have no idea about this shop actually! I just stopped near there for a short break when driving between the 2 states.
