Probably best to drop the shops a message and decide for yourself which is best. Our prices may not be current any more.So anyone has a price? [emoji14] [emoji12] [emoji13]

Make sure you test the video function of a6300 carefully at the store before you pay and leave. Mine got below issue whenever i press video recording button and let it records for about 40s... (i did test video function at the store but was never expected this kinda issue so it was like 5s 10s test shot only) Bought from slr revo on 9th Apr.
I ald headed to oversea on 10 Apr thought this could be a good replacement for my A7 and now I couldn't immediately bring back to the store right now. Be back in SG only on 20Apr so most likely I may need to bring to Sony Service Centre directly. Email and Facebook massage to Sony Singapore but no reply yet.
The issue is not just the display showing those yellow and red lines during video recording... but the files actually picking up those and the footage effected as well. totally unusable for my trip right now. just too bad. Hope this help those eyeing on a6300 and thinking of picking it up just before a trip.
Or on clubsnap, if you don't mind a 2nd hand. There's a 6300 gg for 1300 right now. And given how new it is, probably in excellent condition.Street price is typically $100-$150 cheaper...do check out the usual retailers for their prices.![]()
Thanks for your impressions, I think your thoughts echo a lot of ours as well. I was really considering that Panny Gx7 or 8 for the excellent feature set at first. Went for the 6300 in the end for the AF and sensor size.Hi. Im new to the sony community. I just bought the a6300. Previously used a four thirds camera. Then i was close to buying a pen-f or a em5 mk2. But ended with a6300. Only because of super fast auto focus and after lots of reviews on youtube. I paired it up with the 16-70mm which cost me a bomb. Let me just give a brief thought of the camera. Only bad things. Tons of good things already online.
Body:
Yes the camera has all of the latest features except 2 important ones(at least to me). Firstly, there isn't any touch screen on this! It really helps for auto focusing during video or actually everything. The touch screen would also really help with the menu which has a lot of pages. Well maybe i am not used to a sony menu so might be bias.
Second. There isnt any flip out screen. Yes it could tilt. But i dont understand why they just couldnt make it a flip out since this is an upgrade from a6000. And a camera this light, its perfect for a good selfie/wefie. Hahaha. (FYI, i still could take a selfie with 1670mm). So it is quite light to me. Yes you can pair the cam with your phone but that requires time. Totally distrupts a hype for a wefie.
Third. Maybe its just me but why isnt there any charger for the battery? You have to charge your battery through your camera body. This means your camera is out of the dry cabinet when it charges. Plus the battery doesnt last either. So it is a downside that you need to buy an external charger.
Lens:
Just a reminder i was from 4/3. And for those who didnt know, the 4/3 lenses are freakishly sharp. So this might be a lil bias. But here it goes. The lens is too expensive for the quality. Im not saying it isnt good. Its sharp(expected from a zeiss). Its compact and quite light. But the price wasnt attractive. I still got it though because of the range. It is perfect for casual outings. Eg. Dating, family gathering.
So the a6300 is packed with features. And i apologise if my post affected anyone badly. Im just sharing my thought. Overall, i didnt regret buying this, but i am not satisfied either. Haha. Perhaps i could have gotten a full frame A7 with the price i paid for thats why. But for a mirrorless camera, this is the best thus far(compared base on specs). I am just awed by the AF which is freakishly fast. And the silent shooting mode. No sound at all. TOTALLY SILENT.
Fyi, as i said earlier i was deciding between this and the olympus. Olympus sure is gorgeous. But i was mainly drawn to this due to its AF. Purely the AF. 4K video doesnt do me much good. Cause i dont really need a 4K. Thanks for your time!

One thing I'm not a fan of is though is how Sony lenses are literally like 2x of Olympus' prices..

Might be too late to say. But if no need for 4k video. Should have consider the a6000 instead. Which is going alot cheaper than the a6300. Not to wet blanket you but perhaps its useful for people still sitting on the fence. Anyway im sure u will enjoy yours. N who knows you may use the 4k function next time.
Yea. The need to charge in body is a big down. N they should include a charger. If not highly recommand to buy 1. Tho its not a strict requirement. Just personal feel.
Yes. Most E mount native lenses are not cheap.
Battery. Yea. Weak. Need to carry afew. Hoping they can bring on some battery tech soon. Keep it same size but more power/juice. Haha.
+1 Haha my thoughts exactly. Otherwise will keep on wondering what could have been. Its alright. I chose the a6300 also because of the build. It feels nice to hold a solid camera rather than a plastic one. And somehow I have this principle. If I were to get something, I'll try to stretch my budget. So I won't regret or be left behind with technologies.
I tried the video mode today. So let just say this.... AWESOME! I've never tried or even fond of videography. I like to watch but not create. So after having this A6300, I feel like I have to learn. Hahaha

Try Sigma options with MC-11? I tried 35 1.4 art, pretty fast focusing like native lens. Maybe 17-70/2.8-4 is not bad for the camera
Mc11 canon mount... Is it for ef or both ef and efs lenses?
