I'll be using it once I can afford it haha.. Did a test with my 6300, seems fairly fast. It's 400++

Yes, and I believe it should have eye af too. When I tried it I wasn't very familiar with the 6300 yet so can't remember all that clearly.

Documentation says 21 frames I think.

I don't use a mic but I've seen at least 3 ppl use the top mounted Rode mic over the last weekend.

Attended a wedding that was filmed almost entirely using the 6300.

Sharing a slow motion video I recorded....

Just tested out the Sigma 30mm F1.4 Sony lens in greater detail. Seems like the phase detect on the unit only works reliably in the vertical center 1/3 of the sensor. It's quite flawless there.

Outside of that area the lens just focuses randomly in the center region.

Tried lockon AF too. The camera tracks the subject well, but once again, if the subject is outside of the center 1/3, the lens can't focus on it. Just struggles with locking on to the center and trying to lock on to the subject so it just jams there focus breathing.

Not sure if it's a production variance or firmware issue as I believe the lens is supposed to work like native. The shop guy will bring it back to sigma and let them know about it and see what they have to say.

That said, the sharpness and accuracy of the PDAF is pretty good when it works.

That must be the most definitive video of the Sigma 30mm F1.4 out now. I actually decided to get it after watching it haha..

That AF test gives me hope that the one I tried may just have had glitchy firmware. Will report back when I get more details.
