Maybe Sony can consider allowing customization.

i.e we have options to choose the specs we want, so they just assemble the parts accordingly... (like buying DELL computers... :bsmilie

Thats a good idea , instead of rolling out 3 models , let the consumer choose haha.

Anyway I'm still a bit confuse too as both models have MF LV check but the a450 no Quick AF LV. Meaning can LV but without AF or what?

I think, Sony is trying to gather user base from ground up, not top down.

For those who just want a simple dSLR system, A2xx/A3xx series are the choice. For those who wants more features but small budget, A4xx/A5xx are the choice.

Interesting to see how Sony Singapore price the A450.

Our Sony Alpha pricing is kinda screwed up imo LOL.

First, the A550 was priced just $100 higher than the A500. Other countries difference is bigger.

Therefore Sony SG gave away a free VG to A500 to separate their pricing.

Now the A450 is supposed to be cheaper than A500. How low can they go this time? Factoring in the free VG of the A500...

I think the A450 will be priced RRP $1099 for body ($100 cheaper than A500), and give freebies to offset the price. Very hard to compete against A500 pricing, unless Sony giving free VG to A450 as well. Maybe $999 for body with no freebies, that will be good for budget buyers. However if u think about it, A500 +VG for $1199 is still more worth it than a A450 body (no freebies) for $999.

Things like cameras, laptops MP3 players etc. Never seen them increase price before, except when they offered promotional price for certain period, then after promotion revert back to original price, but thats a different thing already since those are promo price, not RRP.
