I wonder why they always place the AV button far inside, even though there is still alot of space in between it and AEL button. make it difficult to reach in potrait position.

so now why organizers, color screens, WIFI, 12mpx cameras, video recording, voice recording, facebooking, twittering features in mobile phones?

why not buy a mobile phone, a digital camera, a digital audio recorder, a netbook and try to carry these all at once?

i don't see how putting all these features into a tiny mobile handphone compromised the features of voice communication at all.

Yeah they might just be able to produce a $10 dumb mobile phone with none of these features and have a battery life of 10000hrs.... but i would still rather pay $500 for an iPhone.

a DSLR should do what a DSLR does best... that is TAKE STILL PICS! Y are ppl complain about the lack of HD video on a DSLR? If u wanna take HD Video... then do get a HD Camcorder! Any device that does multiple functions usually only does one well or sucks at everything!

There is actually chatter around about a A700 replacement which is supposedly A750, a FF 14MP.

It will take many long years for Sony to reach C and N market share. As for pentax , they generate alot of interest for their bang for the buck pricing. Something we dont see often for sony products . Maybe , if Sony goes into one of these frenzy Lunar new year promotions , but slashing prices by 1-2 hundred bucks , or do a utimate kit at special price (body + Vg+ extra batt + Memory card + good tripod+ cable release + filter set + 15% dicsount on lens purchase with bundle) .

I think there will be alot of interest . After all pricing is key for middle to mass market products =)

My sentiments too

They like to win , and have been a good track recorder for winning ,in products they put their attention and focus on.

The current DSLR lineup is giving me some confusion as to how they intend to win this haha.
Only logical thinking to to assume that they are trying to flood the market with Alpha Awareness with all the models targeted at mass markets . Once they have enough maturity ,they start to launch their flagships for each specific segments. I think the first one would be the long awaited A700 successor ! I think they are probably trying to perfect this before annoucing any launch.

I am waiting in eagerness to see what magic can Sony weave in 2010 ( other than Final Fantasy 13 lol).

Currently, I won't use those HDV enabled DSLRs for work - like wedding/event videography - without a proper rigging system and external miking.

Though yes - the video's probably sorely missed in these machines for people who want to do non serious stuff.

but for me if i wanna buy sony dslr camera i may consider A550 than A450,aleast a550 have specs than a450 lol

The trends are moving into Dslr and video HD , so the chances of buying will be A 7000000000 series ,soon will be able to see the real staff in the market as the PMA had already release.......guy happy chatting.:bsmilie:
