Sony A100 review out!!

If Sony is going to challange the No 2 DLSR market share spot in 2008... I'm sure buying into Sony now is a pretty good idea. They do have the technology and marketing power to do so like PS2.

But if they are trying for the pro market, they have to try much harder.

If you are referring to A-100 trying for the pro market, you are wrong. The semi-pro and pro body plus pro-lens are all "AKAN DATANG/COMING SOON".

A-100 is aim at the entry level DSLR, it's not even a semi-pro body and it does not claim to be one either.

Sony has the technology advancement in DSLR development..
Sony has KM and Carl Ziess on lens development. I don't see why they can't go into pro market..

tankm, Eyesthruthelens... tink you guys got mi wrong.

Pro market is not only about body and lens...it's the system. But as you've said, it's akang datang so lets wait to see what Sony can offer. My experience with sony digicam is the T1 and for what ever reason, from T1 to T9 currently, the itsy-bitsy flash is still located right next to the lens. This results in red-eyes everytime flash is on when shooting people. (it juz implies that Sony cam designers are not photographers).

But I've always wanted my T1 LCD on my DSLR.

What I can see is that Sony will shorten the DLSR development cycle, thus forcing C and N to also follow it's cycle.

Also what PRO market is Sony targeting? In the sports Sony have to better D2Xs complimented with 600f4 VR. In the fashion, Sony have to contend with 1DsMk2 at 16MPx and FF with Canon assortment of lenses. Landscape? Sony have to contend with those MF/1DsM2 or the lower end 5D.

So far the review shows that Sony pic quality is not much better than 350D that is relatively cheaper and comes from a company with a proven DSLR track record.

Unless the other bodies have better sensors/lenses I dun think it can penetrate the pro market.

Pro or no pro body ...... the A100 is one heck of a camera ......... haven't been so excited over a camera like this ........ for a long time ........ ;p

Fast and so easy to handle ......and spot on every time ........ I am sure the pictures from this camera will speak for themselves .....

Had to agreed with zenten on this...after nearly a yr of frustration of low af speed and tracking
The alpha is a dream came true...:thumbsup:
