Some new toys to play...

All shorts above are hand held, and metering is by trial and error.

Interestingly.... the lower the focal length, the shorter the minimum focusing distance and the higher the magnification factor. I mount the 15mm on the D90, focusing distance is down to 1cm and fired off... And the camera went bonkers! It registered ERR and the mirror refused to come down. I had to mount another CPU coded Nikon lens to resuscitate the camera.

Minimum focusing distance for 50mm focal length is about 23cm. For 25mm is about 10cm.

How about "maximum" focus distance? I don't think they go to ∞.

It's about the same distance as the minimum focusing distance. As the throw of the RF lens is very short, the difference is distance is very minimal.

M42 mount lens on G1....

Mamiya Sekor 50mm/f2 + G1 + M42~4/3~M4/3 Adapter

Think 15mm can reach infinity at f16 and above. The DOF scale shows 0.3m to infinity at f16 and above. Am I right to think that way ?

Nope. Once it get mounted on the SLR camera, the rear focusing distance has increased. Hence it got turned into something like a marco lens with bellow.

I couldn't fire off with the D90 DSLR camera. Somehow it registered an error when I fired off. Will try later on the old old canon D60.

Just got this toy from Chii Fei today.. a crude test shot of DE Camera Soft Release :bsmilie:

At least now I find new life for my Tanar 50 f2.0 Sonnar :bsmilie:

Not the best example.. but the potential is there to use Leica M lenses for Macro when the M mount adapter arrives.. :bsmilie:

Shot on a D700, ISO 250, Shutter 125, F8 (can go higher..but did not), On board flash

Now to look for some spider to test on
