One new thing I like about Leopard is after I downloaded a executable, when I click it for the first time, it'll prompt me if I want to execute it and the dialog box also display where I downloaded the file from.
 

Two of my issues (Canon i9900 not working and internet connection interrupted while using AIM through iChat) are no longer a problem.

I re-installed the printer driver, which supposedly is included with Leopard and was being used just prior to the Leopard installation, and the system recognises the printer again. Strange, but Apple has suddenly minimised Firewire from all over the operating system. In the printer setup, they have nearly every hardware protocol as an icon, except for Firewire.

I must say that Firefox and several other applications have much better text rendering now. It's quite pleasant. Mac OS X is still sluggish but is surprisingly quick in some spots.

That's why we're not created as Root Users on the Mac OS, everything is done via sudo, which is much safer.

Before anybody bashes Mac for not being the purrfect OS that's widely acclaimed to be virus free, a system is only as secure as the person who's using it.

You want super secure, plug out the cables, super glue the ports and change the systems' password to something you don't even know, same goes for windoze and any other OS.

That's a good off-shoot of my own motto about computers. The computer is only as smart and powerful as the human sitting infront of it. heheh

Mac OS X - Tetris Hidden in the Terminal

1. Open the finder
2. Open Applications
3. Open Utilities
4. Open Terminal
5. type "emacs"; click enter
6. Press ESC + X at the same time
7. Type "tetris"
8. Play Tetris! Use the arrow keys to move and rotate the blocks, and press the space to make the blocks fall.

This isn't really a part of the Mac OS, it's a part of emacs which is part of the UNIX system. Most Mac users don't know this is included with their computer. There are many more games included as well. To know what other games are included, do the following:

Open the terminal again, at the prompt type:
"ls /usr/share/emacs/21.2/lisp/play"

Don't forget the space!

You'll get a directory of the games included with emacs, to play these games do the same thing as with tetris, except type your chosen game's name in place of tetris.

Last time in poly, I learn the Lisp language. ha ha. still remember recursive!
 

iScroll2 has been updated to work with Leopard so anyone with a recent PowerBook G4 (and maybe iBook) can have two finger scrolling and two finger contextual menu support.
