that "virus" is actually a trojan. viruses spread by themselves and i have yet to hear of one for mac os x. trojans on the other hand depend on your surfing habits![]()
We IT people all know the different lah. I just copy and paste from the website try not to modify the actual content ;p
Anyway , don't think virus can infect Mac OS as administrator password is needed whenever system level task is carry out.
Trojans is a better term to be use in Mac environment.
That's why we're not created as Root Users on the Mac OS, everything is done via sudo, which is much safer.but you din clarify that it was not a virus in your post :nono: :bsmilie:
i wont say virus cant infect os x....just a bit harder to. but all it takes is for a loophole with root privileges for a virus or worm to create havoc. so far so good. *touch wood*
